Fashion show at Queensway
HENSALL - Something
old, something new, some-
thing borrowed, something
blue. With June, the tradi-
tional wedding month on
the horizon, Julie
Grimminck, retirement resi-
dent director decided to
host a "Weddings Through
the Decades" fashion show,
assisted by residents, volun-
teers and staff. Wedding
dresses, invitations and
wedding memorabilia were
on display for the program
Sat., May 6 as those in
attendance reminisced
about their special wedding
day. Refreshments and a
social time followed.
Retirement residents have
been busy this past week
with Bill Rowe and Band in
to entertain at the beginning
of the week and Andy &
Friends to end the week
when they played for
Friendship Friday. Julie
and a van load of residents
travelled to the Exeter
library to sign out several
books and videos with a
detour to Dairy Queen for a
soft ice cream treat.
Hensall United Church
women provided assistance
and prizes at the Monday
afternoon bingo game.
Following bingo, residents
Beth Knox and Erla
Coleman hosted the UCW
Friendship Circle meeting.
Rev. Anne Krueger of the
Zurich Lutheran Church led
worship Tuesday afternoon
with Belva Fuss as volun-
teer organist. Wednesday
afternoon euchre players
gathered for a competitive
afternoon of cards assisted
by volunteer Lillian Beer,
while others benefited from
walks and wheelchair rides
outdoors to enjoy the beau-
tiful sunny day.
Lisa Stewart, music thera-
pist spent Thursday morn-
ing with us providing her
very special service and in
the afternoon several indi-
viduals received some extra
pampering with manicures.
Friday afternoon the scent
of fresh baked cheese
scones drew visitors to the
residents baking room to do
some taste testing. Buttered
and warm from the oven
the scones were a perfect
compliment for the hot tea
and visiting.
This week May 8 - 12 is
`Nursing Week' a time when
we recognize our Nursing

mitment to providing com-

South Huron Mayor Rob Morley
spent the May I council meeting
wearing a Campbellford Colts hock-

Midgets lost to Campbellford in the
OMHA final in April. Morley had
been challenged by the
Campbellford mayor that the mayor
of the losing team would wear the
other town's sweater. Pictured from

Popular Straight Entry Plan No.1-3-555 (R) Dormer windows, "fish -scale" siding and a wrap-around porch combine to lend this two -s orey design a
gracious country ambience. The eye-catching porch will beam a welcome to guests— just add some traditional wicker furniture for a cool seating area
during warm weather. Entry is through a compact foyer, and straight ahead are stairs to the second floor. A study to the right is ideally situated to serve
as either a home office or a private den for quiet reading. Thanks to its location next to the front door, the room means visitors to a home office will not
have to walk through the house. The formal living room's generous windows will allow lots of natural light to flood in. The adjoining dining room has a
useful built-in buffet space. A sliding pocket door opens to the breakfast room, which flows into the kitchen and enjoys access to the back garden. The
kitchen is designed for both enjoyment and efficiency, with a pantry and double sinks under a window. The U-shaped counter configuration will save
steps for the cook. Between the kitchen and the study are a two-piece powder room and a coat closet. The spacious laundry room can be accessed
from the double garage, which also has a rear door and is large enough to accommodate a small workshop or extra storage. Upstairs, the master suite
runs from the front to the rear of the house. A roomy walk-in closet provides enough space for both his clothes and hers, and the four -piece ensuite
includes a separate shower, as well as a soaker tub set into a bay. The third bedroom features a charming bay window and shares a bathroom with
bedroom no. 2. The house is 59 feet wide and 37 feet deep with 1,728 square feet of living space and an unfinished basement. Plans for design 1-3-
555 are available for $554 (set of 5), $631 (set of 8) and $680 for a super set of 10. B.C. residents add 7% Prov. Sales Tax. Also add $25.00 for
Priority charges within B.C. or $45.00 outside of B.C. Please add 7% G.S.T. or 15% H.S.T. (where applicable) to both the plan price and Priority
charges. Our 38th Edition of the Home Plan Catalogue containing over 300 plans is available for $13.50 (includes taxes, postage and handling). Make
