Keeping the world cleaner
Students at Exeter Public School took part in Tote Your Own Trash day last week in an effort to discover how
they can decrease the amount of garbage at the school. Students wore a plastic bag around their waist which
acted as their personal garbage bag for the day.At the end of the day, they looked through the contents of
their garbage bag to discover how they can reduce and recycle. The school has already held a number of `lit-
terless lunch' days, with the most recent one reducing the school's garbage by 54 per cent. Pictured from left

Queensway joins
annual May 27
Hensall yard sale
HENSALL - The women of
Carmel Presbyterian Church in
Hensall provided assistance and
prizes for the Last bingo game of
the month on Monday afternoon.
They will be with us again each
Monday afternoon in September.
Volunteer Edna Dietz assisted
with Breakfast group Tuesday
morning helping to serve delicious
eggs made to order, sausages,
fresh fruit, toast and bottomless
cups of coffee and tea. The eight
residents who attended lingered
over conversation with others that
they don't normally dine with. Lay
pastor, Dave Williams of Thames
Road and Elimville United
Churches led worship Tuesday
afternoon with Belva Fuss as vol-
unteer organist.
Wednesday afternoon the Euchre
players gathered for a few compet-
itive games. We hope our usual
euchre volunteer Marg Cole, who
hasn't been in due to health rea-
sons will soon be able to rejoin us.
Lisa Stewart, Music Therapist,
brightened the day for residents
on Thursday with her springtime
musical theme, working with her
group as well as many individual
residents. In the evening Senior
Diners stayed for the April
Birthday celebration with music
provided by "Audibly Awesome's
Len Lobb, Richard rose, Bill Strong
and Bert Lobb.
Residents Council met Friday
morning for their regular monthly
meeting to preview upcoming
events and provide input.
Everyone is looking forward to the
many May programs including our
involvement in the annual May 27
community wide yard sale.
