(photos/Pat Bolen) The 7th annual Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority Easter in the Park was attended by sever- al children of all ages last Saturday in search of coloured eggs throughout the conservation area. (photo/Nina Van Lieshout) Blyth Student Art Exhibition BLYTH — A sure sign of spring in Huron County is the opening of the Student Show at the Blyth Festival Art Gallery. Dozens of works by budding Batemans and virtual van Goghs in single and multi -media presenta- tions will fill the Bainton Gallery beginning with the official opening at 7 p.m. April 22. This annual show runs until May 18 and is an exciting venue for stu- dent creativity and features the best works of young people in Grades 7 - 12. The Avon Maitland District School Board encompasses schools includ- ing South Huron District Secondary in Exeter, Central Huron Secondary in Clinton and Goderich District Collegiate Institute. A couple of special pieces from elementary school pupils will also be displayed. A wide range of artistic media will be featured including mixed media, sculpture, photography, drawing, painting, printmaking and digital illustration. All teachers, students, parents and the public are welcome Refreshments will be served. POLICE BRIEF Woman charged with impaired EXETER — On April 16 Huron OPP observed a motor vehicle traveling along Main Street in Exeter. The 1998 Toyota Camry was stopped and the driver was found displaying signs of impairment by alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for breath samples. Breath samples were analyzed and found to be greater than the legal limit of 80mg of alcohol. A 37 -year-old woman of Windsor will attend Exeter Provincial court on June 22. She faces one count of impaired dri- ving, one count of driving a motor vehicle with more then 80mg of alcohol and one count of failing to comply with undertaking.
