Custom Covers in Exeter holding grand opening

EXETER — "Anything
we can make out of fab-
ric, we can do here," says
Janice Brock, co-owner of
Custom Covers on Main
Street in Exeter.
The business which
caters to custom window
coverings and bed and
home accessories is hold-
ing an open house next
week.
There is also a whole-
sale of distribution prod-
ucts for fundraising pur-
poses, bps enterprises at
the back of the building.
Custom Covers, run by
Brock and Wes Petch,
orders from six different
suppliers.
Hunter Douglas, Levolor
and Shade -O -Matic are
three lines carried by
Custom Covers.
They have professional
seamstresses on site and
also contract seamstress-
es for customer conve-
nience if need be.
"We really strive to
minimize time," says
Brock.
"Our goal is two to
three weeks," Brock
adds.
The time line depends
on what is being ordered.

lot of work, according to
New role for Mitchell

Mitchell was recently
appointed as the
Parliamentary Assistant to
the Minister of Public
Infrastructure Renewal,
after serving as the
Parliamentary Assistant to
the Minister of Agriculture,
Food and Rural Affairs
since her election in
October 2003.
"I look forward to this
new portfolio and the
opportunity to apply the
knowledge I have gained to
a different Ministry," said
Mitchell.
Public Infrastructure
Renewal (PIR) works with
partners inside and outside
government to modernize
public infrastructure, plan
for future growth and care
for the environment in
ways that enhance quality
of life and contribute to
economic success.
The Ministry also man-
ages the government's
capital assets and key
arms -length agencies such
as the LCBO, the Ontario
Lottery and Gaming
Commission and the
Ontario Realty
Corporation.
Despite the fact that
Mitchell no longer works in
the Ministry of Agriculture,
Food and Rural Affairs,
given the nature of her
rural riding she says she
will remain steadfast in
her support of Ontario's
agricultural development
and long-term sustainabili-
ty-

or loved one before the Easter long weekend. Help
ensure availability of blood for patients at local hospi-

A blood donor clinic will be held today (Wednesday)
at South Huron District High School from 12:30 to 8:30
p.m.
If you have never given blood, take this special oppor-

charitable organization that manages the blood supply
in all provinces and territories outside of Quebec and
oversees the country's Unrelated Bone Marrow Donor

nent collection sites and more than 19,000 donor clin-
ics annually.

limited selection of furni-
ture including a bed, side
bed table and bar table
and stool.
The grand opening is
April 17 to April 29.
Grand opening sales will
run during the event with
special promotions April
22 as well as refresh-
ments and snacks
between 10 a.m. and 3
p.m.
