Easter egg hunt this Saturday

ZURICH - Congratulations to Julia Geiger
and Trevor Truemner who were married on
April 10 in Cuba. Several family members
attended the wedding. The bride is the daugh-
ter of Ralph and Jill Geiger of RR 2, Zurich.
The couple will be living in Hensall.
Congratulations to Liz McAdams and Ken
Fraser who were married on Sat., April 8 in
Dashwood with reception and din-
ner at the Zurich Complex. Liz is
the daughter of Nancy and
Mariven McAdams of Dashwood. The couple
are living in Zurich.
Little "Brianne Nicole Regier" daughter of
Rob and Tammy Regier of Zurich was bap-
tized recently at St. Boniface Church.
St. Peter's Catholic Women's League (St.
Joseph) will be quilting after Easter on Tues.,
April 18 at the home of Velma Cantin begin-
ning at 9 a.m. Ladies are asked to bring along
a brown bag lunch. Everyone is welcome.
Those wanting to go to the Catholic
Women's League Deanery Fun Night on
Thurs., April 20 in Mitchell are to call Deb
Pennings at 236-7750 or Dianne Tucker at
236-4925 as soon as possible. Dinner tickets
are $15 a person which includes entertain-
ment.
Happy birthday wishes go out this week to
Brittany Eybergen, Michael Boyle and Julie
Debus.
A Buck and Doe will be held for Blake
Schade and Sheri Shaw on Sat., April 15 in
Ailsa Craig at the Community Centre. Blake is
the son of Anne Schade of Dashwood. The
couple are being married in May.
The Golden Agers held their meeting on
Mon., April 10, 7:30 p.m. at the Hay Township
Hall. The Senior Games will be starting on
Mon., May 8 with games of Solo being held at
Dashwood Community Centre at 10 a.m.
The games will rim until June 15 doing vari-
ous events at different places. Anyone wanting
to take part call Gwen McKellar 236-7209 as
soon as possible to register.
The Martin family of Irvin, Grace and son
Dwayne will entertain the residents at Blue
Water Rest Home tonight, Wed., April 12 at
6:30 p.m. The monthly Birthday Party is on
Tues., April 18 hosted by the Zurich Women's
Institute at 2:30 p.m. The Nursing Home
singers will also be entertaining in the evening
at 7 p.m..
A Fashion Show by Geri -Fashions will take
place on Apri119 at 2:30 p.m.
Grand Bend Seniors Band will perform in
the auditorium on Fri., April 21 at 2:30 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to come out and join the
residents.
Special Happy Birthday wishes go out to
Lylyan Greb at Queensway in Hensall who
was 99 years old on April 8. Also to Emma
Schilbe hi Zurich who will be 101 years old
April 16 Easter Sunday.

The Exeter Synchronized Skating Club is
having a fashion show and ladies night out
with a comedian from Toronto to entertain on
Thurs., April 13, 7:30 p.m. at the Recreation
Centre in Exeter.
Several relatives from the Zurich area
attended the 50th Wedding Anniversary of
Ted and Sarah Robison held in Windsor at the
Caboto Club last Saturday, April 8. The
Ducharme sisters and their spouses and Ted's
three sisters and husbands attended. Jerome
and I also attended as Jerome was in the
wedding party 50 years ago. This lovely cele-
bration was also attended by their children,
grand and great grandchildren.
Children get ready for the East Egg Hunt this
Sat., April 15 at the Hay Township Hall from
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be lots for them to
do. The Zurich Agricultural meeting was held
in the Hay Township Hall on April 6 conduct-
ed by president Hilda Lansbergen and secre-
tary -treasurer Margaret Deichert. The spring
Home Craft Workshop will be held for District
Eight in Seaforth on Mon., May 1 at 7:30 p.m.
Cost is $5 at the door. The Home Craft judging
workshop was on April 11 in Listowel.
The Fair Board was happy to receive $500.
from the Bean Festival Committee. The direc-
tors are asked to please finish their collecting
and hand money into Margaret as soon as
possible.
Congratulations were given to Amanda Neeb
on winning first prize for her poster at the
recent convention in Toronto.
Plans are well underway for the upcoming
fair to be held from July 21 to 23 with theme
being, "Remember When." The band, Late
Nite Radio is booked for the Friday Dance and
Elimination Draw put on by the Lions Club.
Ricky Magic will be entertaining at the Variety
show. If you would like to be in the talent
show call Heather Klopp at 236-4291 and
leave a message. The next meeting is May 11.

Police Brief
ATV stolen from locked shed
SOUTH HURON — Sometime during the night of April 3 unknown parties attended a busi-
ness on Mount Carmel Drive in South Huron. The parties gained entry into a locked shed,
stealing a Yamaha ATV. The green Yamaha four wheeler's license plate is 21DLO and the
serial number is JY4AMO3WX4C011860. The ATV is valued at $12,000.

this year on June 9
and 10. Hosted at
South Huron District
High School, the
Relay for Life is a cel-
ebration of survival
and a tribute to the
lives of loved ones
who have been
touched by cancer.
The money raised
by this event goes to
the Canadian Cancer
Society, where it's
used to fund research
and provide support
programs in commu-
nications across the
country.
Participants sign up
as a team. In this
team you take turns
walking, running or
strolling around the
track in a non-com-
petitive relay. When

lots of fun activities
to take part in.
