The property at Devon Corners fell into the municipality's hands after the former owner defaulted on property taxes. A tax sale auction was then held, but there were no buyers. Six underground storage tanks were removed from the site, plus 9,900 tons (or 364 truck loads) of fuel contaminated soil was excavated and removed. That soil was replaced with 9,150 tons of clean backfill Also removed were two concrete pump islands, an inground hydraulic hoist, two septic tanks, an abandoned brick -lined water well and the building.
