St. Boniface and St. Peter's youth group to hold dance -a thou Thurs. ,April 27

ZURICH - Hey Kids the
Easter Bunny is coming to
Zurich on Sat., April 15
and will be at the Hay
Township Hall from 10
a.m. to 1 p.m.
Bring along a decorated
basket and you could win
a prize. No adult help is
allowed to decorate the
basket. Judging the bas-
kets will be for ages zero
to six years of age and six
years and over at 10 a.m.

Following the basket
contest is a parade at the
Zurich Public School with
the Easter Bunny for an
outdoor Easter egg hunt.
Bring a basket to put the
eggs in. After the Easter
egg hunt we go back to the
Hay Township Hall for
games, picture colouring
and even draws on a deco-
rated cake. Hot dogs and
beverages will be available
for only $1. Parents mark
the date on your calendar
as I am sure you're little
one's won't want to miss
out on this big event that is
being put on by the Zurich
Lions Club and their wives.
Welcome back home to
some of our friends who
have been away. Karl and
Mary Regier spent the past
two months in Florida.
Len and Jean Leng of R
R 2, Zurich spent the win-
ter in Texas.
Bob and Nancy Brown
were in Florida for two
weeks.
It is nice to see two sis-
ters Betty Oke and Helen
MacLean, home again
from their Chalet in
Kimberly at Talisman Ski
Resort. Family members
visited them during the
winter months.

A Buck and Doe will be
held for Chris DeGroot and
Krista Dearing at the
Zurich Complex on Sat.,
April 1. Chris is the son of
Bill and Brenda DeGroot of
R R 2, Zurich. The couple
will be married in May.
The Fashion Show at St.
Anne's High School in
Clinton will be held on
April 27 and 28. Tickets
will be available soon.
Farewell to Nancy
Ducharme who moved to
Goderich last week. We
are sure going to miss
renewing our car licence
at her place in town.
Congratulations to
Audrey and Jason Tiesma
in Zurich on the arrival of
their baby girl, Destany
Elaine who was born on
March 9.
A benefit dance is being
held for Karmen Bedard
on Sat., April 15 from 8
p.m. to 1 a.m. at the
Zurich Complex as he has
had surgery lately and
recuperating. Tickets are
$10 a person at the gro-
cery store or at the door.
Anyone wanting to be in
the 150th Anniversary
Choir for the Villages
Home Coming weekend on
Sun., June 20 at 7 p.m. is
welcome to come out to
the first practice on
Thurs., April 20, 7 p.m. at
St. Peter's Lutheran
Church.
Ron and Diane
Ducharme of Zurich along
with his brother Ray
Ducharme of Sarnia and
friend Petra enjoyed a trip
to las Vegas recently
which was a gift from the
Ducharme family. Ron and
Dianne were on a plane
for the first time and liked
it very much.
The St. Boniface Catholic
Women's League meeting
was held on March 22 fol-
lowing Stations of the
Cross for Lent and Mass
for Vocations.
Sixteen members attend-
ed the meeting and
enjoyed the guest speak-
ers, Philip Denomme and
Matthew Gurnick who are
students at St. Anne's
School in Clinton. They
were recently among
those on a mission trip for
a week to an Indian
Reserve.
The new executive held
the meeting with president
Debbie Pennings;
treasurer Pat Meidinger;
membership, Henrica
Masse; record secretary,
Theresa Kester; corre-
spondent secretary,
Kathlene Roulson. A
motion was made to give a
donation to Candace
Becker of Dashwood who
is travelling to Belize in
Central America to work
at a women's shelter from
May to August. Candace is
the daughter of Nancy and
Joe Becker.
The Catholic Women's
League Fun Night will be
held in Mitchell on Thurs.,
April 20 at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for sup-

7750 as soon as possible.
The convention is on April
25 and 26 in Chatham this
year.
Congratulations to
Colleen and Mike Cyr on
the arrival of their third
daughter born on March
21. Her name is Corissa
Pauline Cyr.

Church Hall.
It's nice to see that the
Bye Gone Days Cafe is now
open again as a Coffee
Shop. You can stop in for
a coffee, have lunch or
Sunday breakfast from
10:30 to 1 p.m. Watch for
the sign.
The Fair Board meeting
is on Thurs., April 6, 7:30
p.m. at the Hay Township
Hall.
The Cubs held their win-
ter camp at St. Boniface
School sleeping in the
gym, and doing a lot of
indoor and outdoor activi-
ties from Fri., March 24 to
Sun., March 26. There
were 22 children attend-
ing who went to a sugar
bush and to see the Water
Works shed in Zurich.
Everyone is welcome to
go bowLing at the Town
and Country Lanes in
Zurich on Sat., April 8 to
raise money for the Jays
Care Foundation with
pledges going to Special
Olympics. Registration of
$2 a game is at the Zurich
lanes at 6:30 p.m. Bowling
starts at 7 p.m. Please call
