Hawks season will generate memories Tc.
EXETER — "A hockey season
should be measured in the lasting
memories it creates."
This was the message delivered by
Exeter Hawks president Tom Seip at
the team banquet March 22 at the
South Huron Rec Centre.
Although the season ended earlier
than expected, Seip urged all the
players to remember the positives
including relationships with their
fellow players that will continue for
years.
Long-time Hawk executive Bill
Brock received recognition for his
years of dedication to the organiza-
tion. "Your efforts have made the
Hawks fly," Seip quipped.
Tom McCann said there are plans
underway for the Hawks Alumni to
recognize many of the people who
have helped build the organization
over the past four-plus decades.
"The Hawks are highly respected
in the hockey community as a result
of the efforts of many individuals
over many years." McCann added.
Seip invited anyone who wanted to
help the Hawks to come to the April
19 meeting where a new executive
will be elected for the 2006-07 sea-
son.
"Even if you don't want to take an
executive position there are still
many ways to help us," he said.
