CENTRALIA - On Sun., March
26, Rev. Michelle Down led wor-
ship services at Centralia and
Zion West United Churches. She
lit the Christ Candle and led the
Call to Worship. She also lit can-
dles in thankfulness for the
return of the three
hostages recently as
well as for Vi Knee.
The opening hymn, played by
organist Marjorie Johns, was "Let
Us With a Gladsome Mind".
Following prayers, everyone
joined in the hymn "Come, 0
Fount Of Every Blessing". The
choir then sang their anthem.
Rev. Michelle focused on the
children's scripture from
Numbers 21, verses 4-9. Her
story to the children was "Uugh,
Snakes!" They discussed the
story of Moses leading the
Israelites into the desert and
their problems with snakes.
Their healing came from Moses
following God's instructions to
wrap a snake around a pole,
which is the symbol for today's
physicians.
The Old Testament Lesson was
the same as the children's scrip-
ture. The Gospel lesson was John
3: 14-21.
Rev. Michelle's messages was
"God S0000 Loved the World!"
Worship closed with the hymn
"Amazing Grace".
Congratulations to Rikki-Lee
Skinner who recently celebrated
her birthday.
Congratulations also to Aldeen
and Sam Skinner and their fami-
ly. They're proud new great
grandparents, and Aldeen also
