Christian Reform
Singers provide
gospel music
HENSALL — Monday morning at
the Queensway Retirement
Residence and Nursing Home men
held their "Men's Breakfast". Men
from the community were invited to
join them for the delicious meal of
ham, eggs, fruit, toast and coffee.
Discussion took place about wood-
working and a decision was made to
book a tour of Mennonite Furniture
at St. Joseph's. Thursday a van full
of residents enjoyed a sunny drive to
Goderich for a shopping trip. Fresh
donuts were brought back from
Culbert's bakery for the evening
snack.
Tuesday afternoon pastor Elly Van
Bergen of Varna and Goshen United
Churches led Worship with Bill
Gibson as volunteer pianist. In the
evening the Christian Reform
Singers provided a gospel music
program and visited with residents
over refreshments following the pro-
gram.

Devon Martene a young violinist was
especially a hit with everyone.
Residents baking group made green
shortbread cookies for the occasion
which were served along with kiwi
juice. In the evening Harvey and
Friends made music in the retire-
ment residence lounge for the twice
monthly Friendship Friday program.
Sunday afternoon everyone was
pleased to have family and friends
join us for an afternoon of Gospel
music with Bob Heywood. Hearing
all the old beautiful hymns along
with a few recitations from Bob was
a wonderful way to spend a Sunday
afternoon. Thank you to volunteers
