The win followed South Huron's win over Huron Park by a 6-1 score in the semifinal The Panthers travelled to Stratford Feb. 21 to play in the Huron -Perth tournament. The first game involved the Panthers and St. Mike's in an epic bat- tle. The game saw a Panther team dominate on the ice, both outskating and out thinking their oppo- nent. But their hard work did not show on the scoreboard as St. Mike's won 3-2. In the bronze medal game the Panthers came out strong and dominated Listowel by a score of 7-3. Highlights of the game included solid goaltending by Jolene Unwin and a gutsy and strong performance by a depleted defensive squad. There was also great hustle from all forwards and a hat trick from rookie Keri Reschke and it was a great day according to coach Heather Strano.
