SWAP in Lucan
On March 3 conservation education specialist Matt
Redmond of the Ausable Bayfield Conservation
Authority (ABCA) educated Lucan Public School stu-
dents on SWAP, a Spring Water Awareness Program.
Redmond has visited several schools recently explain-
ing the dangers of playing on ice. He says ice is never
100 per cent safe to play on. From left, Grade 3 stu-
dent Sarah McIntyre and Grade 2 student Austin
Conard assist Redmond in demonstrating this to the
students. (photolNina Van Lieshout)
