World Day of Prayer March 3

HENSALL CORRESPONDENT
HENSALL - At Hensall United
Church the service began with wel-
come and announcements and the
passing of the peace.
Les Hills was the min-
ister, his message was
"Divine Glimpses". The organist
was Bill Gibson. Evelyn and Larry
Elder were the greeters. Lisa Elder
looked after the nursery. The ush-
ers were Lucielle Beer and Betty
Simmons. The service closed with
commissioning, benediction and
choral amen.
At Carmel Presbyterian Church
Tracy Whitson-Bahro's message
was "A Thin Place". Joyce Pepper
was the pianist with Al Hoggarth
and Harry Smith receiving the
offering. Refreshments were
enjoyed following the
service.
The World Day of
Prayer will be held at Carmel
Presbyterian Church on Mar. 3 at 2
p.m., everyone welcome. The
annual meeting will be held on Mar.
19.
The sympathy of the community is
extended to the family and friends
of the late Bill Mickle.

the Gathering
Prayer respon-
sively. Everyone
sang the
Gathering hymn
"Jesus On the
Mountain Peak".
Dave gave the
Prayer of
Confession and
Hope and
Assurance of
Pardon.
The
Affirmation of
our Faith - "A
New Creed" was
read in unison.
The youth hymn
"Let There Be
Light" was sung.
Dave told the
story about "A
Caterpillar and
A Butterfly"
which was real
interesting.
The choir sang
"Follow Jesus"
accompanied by
the organist
Marilyn
Vandenbussche.
Psalm 50:1-6
was read
responsively.
Dave read from
Mark 9:2-9 and
the title of his
message was
"Seeing Things
Differently."
Hymn of
Praise
"Immortal,
Invisible, God"
was sung. Joan
Morgan and
Helen Webber
received the
offering. The
closing hymn
"Christ Whose
Glory Fills " was
sung. Dave
gave the
Commissioning
and pronounced
the Benediction
and everyone
sang the Closing
Chorus.
