Now that the extreme pressure is off the price of oil our gasoline outlets in Exeter should be pay- ing attention. Feb. 14 we were in London, where Sunoco was selling gasoline for 78.4 cents per litre self serve. In London again today Petro Can was 78.4 cents per litre self serve. Here in town our lowest price is 83.3 cents per litre self serve. I know the dealers are not in business to lose money, I also don't like to be taken to the cleaners so the dealers can build $75-$100,000 buildings on their profits. The difference from here to London using the above location is 4.9 cents per litre for 23 litres, a $1.12 difference. Why can't our dealers keep up to the sta- tions in London or go north to Arthur where gasoline is gener- ally the lowest in South Western Ontario? K. KEt LER, Exeter weighing 14701bs. "Name That Tune" was an activity that brought back many memories. A lively sing -a -long of popu- lar songs proved we still could sing with gusto! A skit entitled "A Farmer Applies For a Marriage License" proved how a misunderstanding can be dangerous. Marg Desjardine had the closest birth- day and Bertie Keyes received the biggest and best hug from her neighbour. Several new grocery prod- ucts from a local grocery store were discussed and raffled. The new brands of crackers, jams, crackers and juices were analyzed for their contents and nutritional value. A valentine BINGO game and a card game concluded the social time. President Cass Lovie presided for the business meeting and opened with several answers to suc- cess. We succeed if we appreciate beauty, if we find the best in others and if we leave the world a bit better. Several donations for the FWIO Christmas book were received. It was noted our float created for the Winter Carnival placed second. Conference competition articles are to be handed in at the April meeting. President Cass related how WI was formed as well as several background information tidbits. At the March 16 meeting a druggist will speak. Articles for the Children's Hospital will be collect- ed at this meeting. When you pay your annual Women's Institute fee locally, you are automatically a member of a global organization of women. Your opportunities for exciting learning experiences are endless. e MENS' LEAGUE Chris MacDonald 1613 Terry Haugh 1572 John Burdon 1328 Ray Hodgson 1242 Bill Crump 1204 Tyler Scott 1200 1178 947 893 853 Bob Jones Garrett Redegeld Chris Haugh Pat Lane Jim Scott 792 Shaun Dawe Howard Jones Darcy Smith Nathan Howe Nathan Hart Mark Hunt Garry Shier Fabian Hart Ervin Vincent Rick Marshall Jason Kew CentreForw Employme Learning amp ala.: FANSHAWE COLLEGE In partnership with Fanshawe College we are offering MACHINING This course is offered at Central Huron Secondary School in Clinton From March 20 - April 26, 2006 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday From 5 pm to 9 pm Cost: $416.50 + taxes To register call: 519.524.2515 www.thecentreforemploymentandlearning.ca 788 727 630 598 473 441 333 330 297 256 214 Gus Gregus Dean McKnight Matt Huard Trevor Struth Dave Ferguson Dan Dawe Sean Craig Jeff Gooch 174 148 141 140 111 100 89 85 Gavin Harburn 85 Trent Taylor 46 YOUTH LEAGUE Tyler Scott 1073 Zach Kadey 566 Mitch Boyle 522 Justin Finkbeiner 396 Wayne Drake 381 Dillon Finkbeiner 372 Jeff McNutt 314 Mandi Brown 21 LADIES' LEAGUE Kathy Wark Shannon Green Audrey Haugh Tracey Boitson Kim Dawe Vicky Myatte Taralyn Koebel Karen Vincent Sam McGee NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING The 130th Annual Meeting of the Members will be held at the HEAD OFFICE of McKillop Mutual Insurance Company 91 Main St. South, Seaforth, ON. on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. • To receive and dispose of the 2005 financial statement and auditor's report:: • To appoint Auditors; • To elect three qualified Directors for a term of three years; • To transact any other business that may properly come before the meeting; • The retiring Directors are Lavern Godkin, Donald McKercher and Jim Floyd.
