ing adults. Our mission is
to strengthen our commu-
nity through mentoring
programs that encourage
individual potential in chil-
dren and youth.
As a member agency of
Big Brothers Big Sisters of
Canada (BBBSC), and
Huron United Way, we
support our volunteers in
building friendships, which
provide guidance and
encouragement to the chil-
dren they support. The
magic happens as these
volunteers share their time
and interests with a child.

cooking with memories
BY DEBBY WAGLER
In the next few weeks I want to put some breakfast
recipes in. It is always fun to get new recipes to try out
for those lazy Saturday brunch type meals or wonderful
muffins for a quick grab. Hope you get a chance to try
some of these winning recipes!
HIGH PROTEIN WAFFLES
The following recipe came from my sister-in-law Faye and we
had them almost every occasion we stayed at their house for
a weekend. It is made in a blender and then cooked on a hot
waffle griddle. We used to eat them hot off the press!
1 cup cream -style cottage cheese
4 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
Whirl at high speed for 1 minute. Cook on lightly
greased waffle iron. Add a little maple syrup and you are
set to go!
