Snowmobiling Tip 1
Never drink and ride.
This includes passengers. Snowmobiling
requires alertness at all times, from all riders.
Drinking can intensify a snowmobiler's fatigue,
resulting in diminished vision, judgment,
decision-making ability, balance and reaction
time. Combined, these factors can
seriously increase the risk of mishap.

Snowmobiling Tip 3
Always wear proper safety
equipment when snowmobiling.
The law requires you to wear a helmet. It
should fit snugly and be securely
fastened under your chin. Riding on ice is
often unavoidable - wearing a buoyant snow-
mobile suit is highly recommended.

Respect all wildlife and private property.
Admire nature and wildlife, do not damage
or harass. Straying off the trail may mean
trespassing on private land. It also exposes

Snowmobiling Tip 7
Know the rules of the local trails
and the community.
Contact your local snowmobile club or law
enforcement agency to find out the rules and regula-
tions for the areas and trails you will be travelling on

operate by a user pay system and require the pur-
chase of a trail permit to legally ride the trails.
