Choice steers and heifers sold 102 to 106 sales to 109, sec- ond cut steers and heifers sold 96 to 100. The cows sold $1-2 lower. Thursday The veal sold on a strong active trade at prices $2-5 higher than last week. The lambs sold on an active market with prices $5-10 higher to last week. Friday Calves and year- lings sold on a strong market, steady to last week. Steers There were 554 steers on offer. Enoch Martin, Portion Station con- signed 16 steers with an average of 1557 lbs averaging 107.08. His top two blonde steers averaged 1708 lbs selling for 109. Nine steers con- signed by Elo Burkhart, Listowel averaged 1606 lbs for 99.21. His top limo steer weighed 1515 lbs sold for 107.50. Schmidt Brook Farms Inc. consigned one gold steer that weighed 1505 lbs selling for 106.75. Their total consign- ment of 14 steers averaged 1633 lbs for the average price of 98.61. Forty-three steers consigned by Marvin C. Bauman, Mount Forest averaged 1440 lbs averaging 102.31. His top limo steer sold for 106.75 weighing 1305 lbs. Gerald Giesel, Elmira consigned 29 steers averaging 1551 lbs selling for the average price of 101.96. His top three char steers averaged 1390 lbs and sold for 106.50. Albert W. Frey, con- signed one black steer weighing 1550 lbs selling for 105.75. His total consignment of 13 steers averaged 15481bs with the average price of 97.82.
