Three men were arrested and released to appear in Exeter Provincial Court March 23. Two 18 - year -old men of Exeter will each face one count of assault.One 19 -year- old of London will face one count of assault with a weapon. Public helps nab impaired driver HURON - On Jan. 11 OPP received a call from the public advis- ing of an impaired driver, driving a 2001 Chevy pick up truck. The vehicle, operated by a man was located on Whalen Line in South Huron. The dri- ver, showing signs of impairment, was arrested and trans- ported to the Strathroy Detachment for a breath test. The dri- ver provided two breath samples, showing he was over the legal limit of 80 mg per 100mlof blood. A 33 -year-old man of Lucan was arrested and released. He will attend Exeter Provincial Court Feb. 16, facing one count of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and one count of dri- ving a motor vehicle with more than 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood. OPP respond to many collisions HURON - Huron OPP kept busy responding to several crashes following the treacherous road and weather conditions between Jan. 17 and Jan. 18. They responded to 16 minor related colli- sions and numerous stranded motorist calls across Huron County. In 99.9 per cent of every collision investigated, speed was the contributing factor.
