Panther Profile back for second half
EXETER — After a rather fine holiday, we're back to
school.
I loved the low water pressure day last Wednesday.
Snow days seems rather dull when
compared to being sent home for a
lack of water. I have nothing against
snow days of course, I love every sec-
ond of them, but mixing up the reason
to stay home is always welcome. And
drinking from cone shaped paper cups
is simply cool.
Speaking of drinks, "Coffee House",
which was put on last Thursday by
Habitat for Humanity, was pretty rock-
ing stuff. I dislike coffee (sorry Tim
Hortons), but the music was top notch,
as were the tap-dancing, poems and
singing. South Huron has some talented folks. Hats off to
all those who set up and attended "Coffee House". If one
is hosted again in the near future I will be sure to go. It's
just that entertaining.
Even more entertaining are exams. Yeah, they're
approaching. The first one kicks off Jan. 27. Morning
exams start at 9 a.m., while afternoon exams start at
12:45 p.m. The exam schedule can be viewed online at
http://amdsb.ca/SHDHS/current/studentServices/exams/0
5-06/ or posted in classrooms. Mark it on your calendar,
this is enjoyment you won't want to miss.
You also won't want to miss these highly enjoyable
upcoming events.
They might even be more fun than writing that two -

WHEN A PERSON MY AGE THINKS ABOUT COMFORTING
FOOD WE PROBABLY REMEMBER THE MEATLOAF WE HAD AT
GRANDMA'S OR AT HOME! IT WAS A REGULAR MEAL THAT
GRACED OUR TABLE. THE FOLLOWING RECIPE COMES FROM A
COMBINATION OF MY MOM AND A FRIEND. I LOVE THE EASY
ASSEMBLY OF MY MOM'S BASIC RECIPE AND THE TANGY
TWIST OF MY FRIEND'S GLAZE. ENJOY A NIGHT AT HOME
WITH MEATLOAF, BAKED pOTATOES AND SALAD- GOOD, EASY
AND SATISFYING FOOD!
TANGY MEATLOAF
Mix together:
2 eggs
1/3 cup ketchup
3/4 cup water
1 envelope of onion soup mix
1/2 cup bread crumbs (or oatmeal)
2 lbs lean ground beef
Shape into a loaf pan and set aside.
Glaze:
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp brown sugar
Dash of hot pepper sauce
Mix in bowl and spread over meatloaf. Bake at 350 for 60
minutes. Drain off any fat and set for a few minutes then
cut and serve. Tangy and great tasting.
Municipality of
MUNICIPALITY OF Bluewater Notice of
BLUEWATER Public Meeting
`2ooi Water/Sewage Rates
Pursuant to Ontario Regulation 244/02, the
Municipality of Bluewater hereby gives notice of intent
to pass a by-law to establish new water and sewage
rates for municipal systems.
Any person may make presentations regarding the pro-
posed by-law on:
Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 10:00 a.m.
Stanley Municipal Complex,
38594 B Mill Road, West of Varna
The purpose of the proposed by-law is to change the
water and sewage rates currently in force to reflect the
costs of operating the systems. This will affect the users
of the water systems in Zurich, Hensall, Lakeshore
(Hay, Stanley and part of Bayfield), Harbour Lights,
and Carriage Lane, and the users of the sewage sys-
tems in Zurich, Hensall and Bayfield.
The municipality has been reviewing the rate charges
during 2005. An earlier public meeting was held in
June 2005. A summary of the proposed rates Council is
considering was mailed to every affected property
owner and is available at no charge at the Municipal
Office in Zurich. This information is also available on
the web site www.town.bluewater.on.ca
Any questions regarding the proposed rates should be
directed to the Public Works Manager at 236-4351 or
565-5212, ext. 224.
