The choir proceeded up the aisle singing "Herald! Sound the Note of Gladness". The drama "Joseph and Mary Seek a Room at the Inn" with Robert and Kathy Bray as the couple and Dave Williams as the manager. Rev. Alun Thomas told the children a story "The Oxen" and led in prayer. Everyone sang "Jesus Our Brother". Bruce Delbridge read the first scripture lesson Isaiah 9:2-7. The choir sang "On This Holy Night" accompanied by the pianist Marilyn Vandenbussche. Psalm 96 was read responsively with Margaret Stewart as the leader. Everyone sang "Come Thou Long Expected Jesus". Grace Pym read Luke 2:1-14. Everyone sang "Angels We Have Heard On High". Larry Lynn read Luke 2:15-20. Everyone sang "Away In A Manger". Dave Williams gave the meditation "The Chesterton Story". The choir sang "Baby In a Manger" accompanied by Marilyn Vandenbussche. Dave and Sharon Passmore and Rick and Judith Parker received the offering. Everyone sang "Joy To the World". Rev. Alun Thomas gave invitation for communion. Karen Etherington had everyone go to the front and receive communion from Sharon Passmore, Judith Parker and Virginia Warwick received the empty glass- es. Each person received a candle which was lit which made a pretty sight. Dave Williams led in prayer. The choir proceeded down the aisle singing "Silent Night, Holy Night". Dave pronounced the Benediction. The poinsettias at the front of the sanctuary were bought through a donation to the Huron County Children from the Chernobyl fundraiser. Many thanks to Rick Etherington for constructing the poinsettia tree - the worship committee. Personals Ross and Kay Hodgert, Alan and Michele Hodgert, Alana, Andrew and Amanda were Christmas day guests with Eric and Diane Ellis and Christine at Kitchener. Bill and Rhoda Rohde, Doug and Judy Rohde and Kathy, Greg Hendrick, Ben and Karen Geiger, Kaylee and Evan were Christmas day guests with Calvin and Val Rhode of Zurich. Glenn and Marilyn Rohde, Bill and Rhoda Rohde were Boxing day guests with Dan and Nancy Rohde, Elizabeth, Emma and Megan at Balinafad. Quite a number of people from this area called at the Whitney - Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth on Wednesday to pay their respects to the late Janet Rice as well as attending her funeral on Thursday. Sympathy is extended to the family and relatives. Quite a number of people from this area attended open house in honour of Calvin and Gwen Christie's 60th wedding anniversary at Hibbert United Church (Staffa) on Wednesday. Congratulations Calvin and Gwen. Mrs. Jean Masten, Richmond Hill spent the Christmas holidays with her sister and husband Murray and Beatrice Dawson of Huron Woods, Grand Bend. Gail Lamb spotted the moose first from her home. Lamb's son Bruce and granddaughter Tori were able to snap some shots of the animal. Bruce drove while his daughter took pictures.This photo was taken on Neil Road at Clandeboye Road. It is very rare to see a Moose in Southern Ontario. Moose, the largest member of the deer family, are found mainly in Northern Ontario.
