• Non -emergency South Huron patients will have
to wait to access a new CT scanner at Stratford
General Hospital.
While it was recently announced the Stratford hos-
pital had received the new scanner, the only South
Huron patients able to access the new equipment
are those in emergency or urgent situations. Other
South Huron patients are being referred to London.
SEPTEMBER 14
• The South Huron police services board is seri-
ous about tackling the speeding problem in the
municipality.
Board chairperson and South Huron Deputy Mayor
Dave Urlin said at Monday night's council meeting
there has been much concern in the area about
speeding, particularly through Dashwood, Crediton
and Kirkton. Speaking about Dashwood, Urlin said
Friday and Saturday afternoons seem to be a big
problem with drivers speeding through the village
on the way to the lake.
• Rob Morley wants to be county warden.
The South Huron mayor has thrown his hat into
the ring, seeking a one-year term as Huron County
warden. He'll fmd out Dec. 6 if he's successful. So
far, Morley is the lone candidate for the job, which
will be voted on by Huron County councillors.
SEPTEMBER 21
• Preliminary talks are being held this week
between the municipality, property owners and the
engineer hired to look into a flood management pro-
ject to deal with the flooding issue in Exeter's east
end.
Brown said the meeting will get some ideas on the
table and he hopes options for the project will be on
paper by the end of the year.
SEPTEMBER 28
• Blue Water Rest Home has been approved for
