The True Meaning of Christmas
Valerie Steckle Grade 4

Everybody is always excited for Christmas. Getting
the presents and grandma's homemade dinner. But,
sometimes we forget the true meaning of Christmas.
The true meaning of Christmas is giving. We give
presents and our love. We also spend time with our
family.
Every Christmas my brothers and I get up around
6:00 a.m. in the morning to sort the presents.
Normally we go to one of our grandma and grand-
pa's houses later in the day.
However, there is one more thing. We wouldn't
have Christmas if Jesus wasn't born. It is His birth-
day. We sometimes get so wound up in buying gifts
or getting ready for a big family gathering, that we
forget the reason for the season. Now, I will tell you
what I do at my grandma and grandpa's house.
Normally we go around lunch time. Later we eat
lunch and have chicken or turkey. Then we open
presents. We play with them after everybody has
opened their gifts. We have supper later. We play
some more and then go home.
I think I showed you the true meaning of Christmas.
Merry Christmas!
When Christ
was born
Beth Kester Grade 4/5

Christ Jesus was born in
Bethlehem. The date of
his birth was December
25. Christ birthday is
Christmas. But be for
Jesus was born an angel
visited Mary and said
"God has chose you to be
the mother of God son.
You will call him Jesus."
And Mary agreed. The
angel visited Joseph and
said "Mary will have a
child you will marry her
and call the boy Jesus."
Joseph agreed. But a new
rule came in, the King
said "every man went to
the place he was born,
and Joseph was born in
Bethlehem so Mary and
Joseph went to
Bethlehem. The inns were
all full when they got
there. An inn owner had
a stable and Mary and
Joseph agreed and then
Joseph was born.

I like Santa
Ask me why.
Because he is nice
Because he gives us
presents for Christmas
Because he rides a sleigh
and his reindeer is named
Rudolph
Because he lives in the
North Pole
Because, because,
because
That's why
I like Santa
