Imagine at Christmas without the rush, with- out the tension of buying all the gifts on time, and the stress of entertain- ing. A Christmas eve spent entirely with my family, relaxing and enjoying our time together. The warmth of the bril- liant tropical sun was a much needed relief from the burden of winter. I was shaded by towering peaceful palm trees as I lounged in the cool refreshing pool. The sand between my feet was smooth and gentle while I walked down the picturesque shoreline as the waves rolled in, and magically disappeared into the sand. When I got back to the beach from my walk, the joyful, festive sounds of jolly Christmas carols filled my ears. The rhythmic, calming, waves washing up on the shoreline were peaceful and relaxing. As I journeyed back to the resort, I caught a drift of the rich, intrigu- ing smells of Christmas dinner. I quickened my pace as the smells got stronger and stronger. Finally my journey came to an end when I saw the endless tables of food, food and more delectable food. From chicken and duck to sushi (YUCK). Everything was delicious and tasted delightful. The potatoes were mashed to perfection with lots of butter to make it taste great, the chicken was moist and full of flavour, that made my taste buds dance with delight. The desserts were stuffed full of chocolate great- ness with rich creamy centres that put a joyful little grin on everyone's faces. My tastebuds were in heaven. Everything was scrump- tious. On Christmas Eve Day we all excitedly ventured down the ocean's side, boarded a large boat and went out to the ocean for an adventure. From the moment I plunged into the ocean's depth, I was amazed at the enchanted new world under the sea... I enjoyed the breathtaking view of all beautiful life in this unbelievable world. Red fish, blue fish, every shape and size, every colour of the rainbow. It was almost like swimming on a pool filled with colourful skit- tles. Spending Christmas in Dominican Republic was full of great memories that I will always cher- ish. LETTERS TO SANTA Dear Santa I have been a good boy this year, kind of.
