New equipment at St. Pat's
Students at St. Patrick School in Lucan are pleased with the new playground on their school
yard. It includes two new pieces, one for the primary students and one for the senior stu-
dents and was a year-long fundraising project with donations coming from various groups.
The project cost about $37,000. Ronald McDonald charity gave $10,000, service groups in
the Lucan area gave $6,000, corporate partners in the Lucan area gave about $3,700 and
the rest of the proceeds were raised by the parents of the student council at St. Patrick.

Exeter man
charged with
assault
HENSALL — Dec. 12 Huron
OPP responded to a plea of help
from a Hensall resident. Police
found the victim locked in her
car in the driveway and scared
to return to her residence. The
victim told police she and her
boyfriend had been arguing. The
victim told officers she had been
assaulted that day and Nov. 9
too. A 24 -year-old male resident
of Exeter was arrested and will
appear in Exeter Provincial
Court on Feb. 26.
