Sleeping problems? Here are some tips: Use
your bedroom for two things only: sleep and sex.
Keep the TV, reading, crosswords, etc. out. Stop
caffeine intake after mid-afternoon. No alcohol in
the evening. Go to bed at the same time every
night and arise at the same time. Try a warm bath before bed. Finally,
if you can't sleep in 20 minutes, leave the room and read `til you get
tired. Then try again.
On the prescription bottle, you may find an auxiliary label that will
alert you to possible drug -alcohol interaction. Alcohol can enhance
the side effects of certain medications so it is important to heed
these labels. Our pharmacists will bring it to your attention.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a seasonal type of depression
typically seen during the short days of winter. It seems to affect
women more than men and can be helped by using special lights for
as little as 20 minutes per day. This can make a great difference.
It's unsafe to share prescribed medication with other people. Your
prescription is chosen for your condition, your weight and many
other personal factors. What is good for you may not be good for
others.
On behalf of our pharmacists and staff, we'd like to wish you
all a happy, healthy and safe holiday season.

Fourth Sunday of Advent at Centralia
By Mary Peterson
CENTRALIA CORRESPONDENT
CENTRALIA — The Fourth
Sunday in Advent celebrating
Love was the theme for wor-
ship at Centralia United
Church on Sun., Dec. 18.
Rev. Michelle Down wel-
comed everyone to worship
and lit the fourth candle in
the Advent Wreath. Everyone
joined in singing the hymns
"A Candle is Burning" and
"0 Come All Ye Faithful".
The children's hymn was
"Go Tell It on the Mountain",
and Rev. Michelle told the
children the story "Building a
House of Love".
Last Thursday, unfortu-
nately the Sunday School
Christmas Concert was can-
celled because of the winter
storm. The children instead
shared their talents during
worship. They recited poems.
Mikenzie and Mikayla
Skinner demonstrated their
step -dancing talent. Ricki Lee
and Deandra Skinner enter-
tained everyone with their
barking dog puppets.
Everyone enjoyed the song
performed by Samuel and
Tate Tindall.
Rev. Michelle chose from
the Old Testament 2 Samuel
7:1-11 and 16, and from the
Gospel of Luke 1: 26-28. Her
sermon was entitled "All You
Need Is Love".
The closing hymn was
"Hark the Herald Angels
Sing".
Rev. Michelle invited every-
one to a Christmas open
house at her home later in
the afternoon. She also hopes
that everyone planned to
attend the upcoming
Christmas Eve Service at 7:30
p.m. at Centralia United
Church on December 24.
That evening, any donations
to the "Benevolent Fund" will
be welcomed and used in the
future to offer support to
families in need.
There won't be worship at
Centralia on December 25 as
everyone gathers with family
and friends to celebrate
Christmas. On January 1,
worship will be held at 9:45
pm. at Zion West United
Church.
On January 22, a joint wor-
ship service will be held at 10
am. This will be followed by a
congregational meeting and a
potluck lunch.
I would also like to take this
opportunity to wish all of you
a very joyful Christmas and
all the best in the coming new
year!
