Queensway very thankful for volunteers
HENSALL — Gail and Larry Mason's Fellowship
Singers gave a gospel music program Sun., Dec. 11 for a
large and attentive group of residents. Volunteers, Betty
Simmons and Lillian Beer assisted residents with the
program and also helped serve delicious Christmas
goodies along with egg nog or juice.
Queensway's Volunteer Auxiliary members met
Tuesday morning for discussion of upcoming events and
where they can offer their help. We are very thankful
for these wonderful women who add so much to the pro-
grams. Rev. Alex McGillvery of the Zurich and
Dashwood United Churches led worship Tuesday after -
110011 with Belva Fuss as volunteer pianist.
Wednesday afternoon Marg Cole organized the euchre
enthusiasts and had three tables of competitors playing.
Marg is in every Wednesday afternoon leading the
euchre program independently.
Karen Lehnen R.N. and Coordinator of the VON
Palliative Care Volunteers gave an informative in-service
about "loss at the holidays" Thursday afternoon. Staff,
volunteers, and residents were welcome to attend
Karen's presentation.
Residents were also involved in fun and fitness, mani-
cures, music therapy, reading and fun with word finds
and crosswords throughout the week.

Arnold Keys, Carol
Simons and Brenda
Consitt all taking part.
The choir lit the Advent
candles and as part of
the Sunday School Stars
time Madison Louch,
Stephen and Kim Consitt
read some Christmas
poems.
The choir favoured the
congregation with a
song "Sing We of the
Saviour" and Pastor Van
Bergen spoke on "Joy
and Happy Looking
Church People".
Bruce and Anna Keys
were pleased to have
daughters Barbara and
Marilyn and family
home for Christmas and
they also received a
warm welcome home
from the congregation.
Next Sunday will be
the first of two special
Christmas services at
Goshen United Church,
Dec. 18 and 25.
Everyone is invited to
come early for coffee
and cake.

their annual Christmas
candlelight/carol service
