pp UGHTFUL ACT OR A KIND WORD
Ah 1, Y PASS IN A MOMENT, BUT THE
L 7-- WARMTH AND CARE BEHIND IT
STAY IN THE HEART FOREVER." (ANONYMOUS)
Stan, Mike, JoAnne, Susan, Nancy, Randy, Jane,
Dale and all our families wish to extend our heartfelt
thanks to everyone who helped and supported Mom
(Evelyn) and all of us during her illness and passing.
Everyone who knew her would agree she was a
unique wife, mom, grandma, sister and aunt. It has
since become very apparent to us that she was also a
wonderful friend to countless people.
I know Mom would have liked to have been able to
personally thank each and every one of you for
everything you have done for her and for her children.
We will try to speak for her as well as ourselves.
First of all, to the Huron and Middlesex County
Ambulance Service. All the attendants were
professional and yet very gentle and reassuring.
Thank You.
To all the Emergency Staff at South Huron Hospital
in Exeter, thanks. Doris and Brenda, you were so
special! Thanks also to the Emergency Staff at LHSC
University Campus.
To Dr. Lam, Dr. Nicholson, Dr Paulter and Dr.
Luke, you all did your personal best, thank you.
To all the ICU nurses at LHSC University Campus,
thank you for reminding us that all nurses are God's
Angels on earth, its just that some nurses' halos shine
a bit brighter than others...you know who you are.
To Dr. Lois Champian, ICU physician, saying thank
you is so inadequate. You understood Mom's wishes
and allowed God to take her surrounded by love,
compassion and her family. Your wisdom exceeds
your years.
There are not enough words to thank Rev. Sheila
McGregor, Pastor of the Crediton United Church.
Mom thought so highly of you, not only as a
spiritual leader but also as a friend. We are so
grateful you were there for Mom. Mom would be
pleased that you were there for all of us as well. You
reminded us of Mom's great faith in God and that she
believed it was God's choice as to how things would
turn out and that that was okay with her. You were
our rock that afternoon at the hospital.
To Jim, Bob and Cliff of T. Harry Hoffman Funeral
Home Dashwood, you made one of the most painful
experiences of our lives bearable. Your kindness,
guidance and expertise got us through those three
long days. Thank you.
To Natalie Kerslake-Willert and Staff of Village
Vines in Exeter, you outdid yourselves. Somehow you
got the numerous flower and planter arrangements to
be so beautiful and yet so unique and different, they
were truly amazing! Thank you.
To the Crediton United Church Ladies, thank you
for the wonderful luncheon you provided after the
funeral. Although many of you were grieving the loss
of one of your own, you faithfully looked after our
needs.
To all our Aunts and Uncles, thank you for
reminding us we are not orphans, we have always
been and always will be part of a larger family.
Heartfelt hugs are just an arms reach away, words of
comfort and wisdom can be obtained by a phone call
or a visit. You also have a very special gift to give us,
all those humourous stories about Mom and Dad as
they were growing up. These will help keep their
memory alive for us as well as our children forever.
To all our families friends, neighbours and business
associates, what can we say? You prayed with us
and for us, you cried for us and with us. You hugged
us and gave us words of comfort. You sent flowers,
cards, food and gave generous monetary donations in
Mom's memory. But maybe most of all you made us
laugh when we felt that we were drowning in tears.
Thank you.
To God, thank you for sharing Mom with us, her
family and friends, for as long as you did. Thank you
for taking her home to be with Dad. She missed him
so much. ..;I•,r
