EXETER — On The Edge, which was host-
ed last weekend here at the high school,
went rather swell.
The winner of the first XBox tournament, a
gruelling test of endurance lasting 4.5 hours,
was David Wagler. A nod of respect goes in
his direction. Out of the seven teams and 28
people who played, he came out on top, and
that ain't too bad.
The rest of the night went smoothly also.
Movies were watched, cards were played,
popcorn was eaten. The organizers would like to
thank the teachers and parents who supervised.
Without your help On The Edge would not have hap-
pened, and that would just be depressing.
The organizers would also like to thank the local
businesses who sponsored On The Edge. Without
your contributions we would not have had any

prizes. And seriously, what's a tournament
of any type without prizes?
We hope On The Edge will happen again
next year, as it was one heck of an enjoy-
able event. Speaking of enjoyable events,
how about that blood donor clinic? It's hap-
pening today (Dec. 14). And if that doesn't
appeal to you, perhaps some of these
upcoming events will:
• Dec. 15 — 3C English students go to
Conestoga College, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
— coffee house at high school, $5 admis-
sion
— director of board of education visits
• Dec. 19 — curling bonspiel, Exeter, all day, boys
and girls teams
• Dec. 20 — comedy night
— girls hockey tournament, London, all das ,
Carling Arena
• Dec. 22 — semi -formal
