Choice steers and heifers sold 96. to 100. sales to 110.25, second cut steers and heifers sold 92. to 96. The cows sold at prices $1. to $2. higher. Thursday The veal sold on a strong active trade with prices fully steady to last week. The lambs also sold on a good active trade with prices remaining steady to last weeks higher prices. Friday All weights and classes of stock- ers sold on a steady market. Steers There were 910 steers on offer. Walter Riddell, Granton con- signed one limo steer weighing 1325 lbs. which sold to Green's Meat Market for 110.25. His over- all offering of nine steers aver- aged 1487 lbs. selling for an average price of 104.04. Six steers con- signed by John Wiersma, Blyth averaged 1388 lbs. selling for an average price of 99.09 with his top limo steer weighing 1345 lbs. selling for 107.25. Emerson L. Martin, Linwood consigned one blonde steer weighing 1325 lbs. which sold to Dominion Meat Packers for 106. His overall offer- ing of 11 steers averaged 1516 lbs. selling for an average price of 104.85. Heifers There were 319 heifers on offer. M -R Farms, Exeter consigned one gold heifer weighing 1210 lbs. which sold for 103. Two limo heifers con- signed by Kevin Masse, Dashwood aver- aged 1088 lbs. selling for 102.75. Murray Switzer, St Marys consigned two black heifers averaging 1268 lbs. which sold for 101.75. His overall offering of 17 heifers averaged 1249 lbs. selling for an average price of 99.96. Cows There were 325 cows on offer. D1&D2- 31.00 - 38.00 sales to 60.50 D3 - 28.00 - 31.00 D4 - 15.00 - 25.00 William Clarke, Grand Valley consigned six limo cows aver- aging 1293 lbs. which sold for an average price of 37.43 with sales to 60.50. One red cow consigned by Jayme Reid, Tiverton weighed 1395 lbs. which sold for 58.50. Dennis Fischer, Durham con- signed one char cow weighing 1495 lbs. which sold for 56.50. Bulls There were 24 bulls on offer selling 20. to 52. sales to 57. Phillip American type cattle very active DENFIELD - The market at Denfield Livestock Sales traded on strong demand at fully steady prices on all class- es of fed cattle with American type cattle very active at strong prices. A large offering of cows sold steady, stockers steady, holstein bull claves strong. Sows and boars steady. Don Eedy and Mark Vanderploeg, Denfield sold 9 heifers average weight 1415 average price 104.51 to a high of 106.00 purchased by Norval Meats. Bob Hodgins, Lucan sold 4 heifers average weight 1201 average price 98.14. Jim Scott, Lucan sold 19 heifers average weight 1273 average price 96.35 to a high of 99.00 purchased by Norwich Meat Packers.
