New belts were earned by Scott Harris -Yellow Belt (double test), SamanthaVisouvath-Green Belt,WhitneyVisouvath- Green Belt, DerekVisouvath-Green Belt, Rachel Runhart-Yellow Belt Green Stripe, Stephen Runhart-Blue Belt, Derek Foreman -Blue Belt, Stephanie Foreman -Yellow Belt Green Stripe, Jackie Le -Blue Belt Red Stripe and Johann Memmel-Yellow Belt.Also in photo are Nora Hodder, Mac Potter and Katey Potter.Absent:Will Potter - Yellow Belt Green Stripe. Recent tournaments resulted in the following successes: Mac Potter, who earned firsts in sparring at the Ontario Classic Nov. 20 and in Chicago Oct. 16 and third in sparring in Wayne, Michigan Oct. 15. Katey Potter earned a third sparring at the Ontario Classic and Will Potter took first in Patterns at the Ontario Classic and third in sparring at the Ontario Classic.Thanks go to the Municipality of South Huron for their recognition at the Nov. 21 council meeting of Katey Potter's gold medal achievements at Canadian National Taekwondo in Edmonton and Ontario Provincial Taekwondo. (photos/submitted) POLICE BRIEFS Minor accidents over the weekend HURON — Huron officers were busy over the week- end. They responded to 16 minor vehicle collisions throughout Huron County. All collisions were a direct result of icy road conditions. Police are reminding motorists that a vehicle's most vital safety feature is its driver and to please slow down according to driving conditions. Car stolen in Exeter EXETER — Between Dec. 3 and Dec.4 a green 1994 Eagle Vision was stolen. The victim, who was attend- ing a residence on Main Street in Exeter parked the vehicle, leaving the car unlocked and the keys under the floor mat.
