Progress made
at meeting
REGINA — The federal,
provincial and territorial minis-
ters of agriculture agreed on
the importance of addressing a
number of challenges and
opportunities facing producers.
They will also lay the ground-
work for a healthier and more
profitable agriculture and agri-
food sector in the long term.
They agreed these objectives
will be achieved through
stronger innovation, sustainable
competitive advantage and bet-
ter access to global markets.
Ministers were united in their
commitment to the Doha Round
of World Trade Organization
negotiations.
Canada will have substantial
presence, including federal and
provincial ministers at the Hong
Kong meeting next month.
They will push for greater
market access, address trade
issues and seek to level the
international playing field
allowing Canada's producers
and processors to compete fair-
ly and equitably in global mar-
kets.

in total were certified in
London, Ont." says
Mardlin.
"An international
examiner came from
the States. Now I can
practice esthetics in 26
different countries," she
adds.
Mardlin grew up in
the area and is excited
about welcoming people
from the community
into her business.
"It's a good spot
because a lot of people
visit from Lucan, Exeter
and the Ailsa Craig
area," she says.
"A lot of clients like
stopping before or after
going to the gym or get-
ting their hair done,"
adds Mardlin.
1-2-1 Health & Fitness
has many freeweights,
body balls, Bosu balls
for balance, exercise
bicycles and treadmills.
There is also a hair
stylist in the building.
Hair with Lisa is just
down the hall from both
1-2-1 Fitness & Health
and bliss.
Mardlin is promoting
both alternative therapy
and esthetics while
focusing on both the
environment and well-
ness.
She does reflexology,
indian head massages,
body glow, body wrap,
