By Pat Bolen
TIMES -ADVOCATE STAFF
LUCAN — The Lucan Ilderton Jets
remain in a tie for first place overall
after splitting a pair of road games
on the weekend.
The Jets hammered Goderich
Friday night 11-3 before losing a 5-3
decision to Tavistock Saturday night.
The Jets remain tied with
Shelburne at 22 points, with an 11-2-
0 record.
Durham occupies second place with
a 10-1-0 record and 20 points, while
Hensall has 18.
Jets general manager Rob Andrews
was upset with the officiating with
the Jets getting 129 minutes in penal-
ties compared to 64 for the Royals
and giving up four power play goals.
"They started three fights, ended
up turtling and our guys would get
thrown out...when they come to
Lucan in two weeks it's going to be
hell for them because we're going to
settle the score once and for all," said
Andrews.
Friday night in Goderich the Jets
were up 7-0 by the end of the first
period on the way to the 11-3 win.
The Jets were paced by three goals
each from Brad Yeo and Craig Black
who fired a natural hat trick.
The team also got goals from Brady
Kjeldaard, Andy Marshall, Jason
Wilson, Mike Vandeven and Scott
Phillips
Goderich tried to get back in the
game in the second with three goals
but the Jets cruised to the 11-3 win
Saturday night in Tavistock, the
Jets were down 2-1 at the end of the
first and 4-3 at the end of the second
in the 5-3 loss.
Notching goals in the losing effort
were Black, Matt McFarlane and
Mark Landon.
"We played the whole second peri-
od and part of the third period short-
handed. And you can't win games in
the penalty box," said Andrews.
The Jets have two games this week-
end, starting Friday night when they
visit Ripley at 8:30 p.m. before
Drayton is in Lucan Dec. 3 at 8:30
p.m..
December 10 at the Lucan Arena
will be Lucan Minor Sports night. All
children will get in free when accom-
panied by an adult.

The game was
delayed for

restore the
Sherwoods two -

again came out
on the winning
