Exeter welcomes Santa Claus to annual parade
Christmas season is in full swing, marked by last weekend's annual Exeter Santa
Claus Parade.Above, sisters Stephanie, left, and Jaimee Wells of Grand Bend have a
visit with Santa after the parade at the Lions Christmas Party in the downtown
parkette. Below, Exeter Public School students Ashley Williton, left, and Mikayla
Rotteau hand out candies during the parade. In the bottom photo, the Friends of
the South Huron Trail ride on their float. Parade float winners were: Exeter Public
School, best school float; Exeter Christian Reformed Church, best religion theme;
The Co-operators, best commercial; I st Exeter Scouts, best club float; D&D Glass,
best overall; Kause for Kids, best miscellaneous.
Taking part in the parade were those representing Exeter and District Ringette
and TJ's Family Billiards. In front from left are Lauren Tordoff and Morgan Cooper,
while in back are Mitch Boyle, Marlee Heywood,Abbey Brintnell, Charlotte
McEwan and Tyler Scott. Below from left, representing Exeter Christian Reformed
Church are Sarah Deweerd, Kristen Bakelaar, Hannah Deweerd, Michelle Yearly,
Beccy Brady and Katie Brady.
