EXETER — Ah, how I love snow days. A four-day weekend is just flat out awesome.
I'm not going to lie, my mornings were well spent sleeping in. I salute the person who calls
off school when the weather doesn't favour bus drivers. Your nobleness is
only exceeded by your excellent judgement.
I did some investigating to see how students spent their snow days, and
an overwhelming amount of them simply did nothing. If you are one of
these people, I give you a solid thumbs up. I also give you information
about an event happening this weekend that might be of interest. That is,
of course, if you're willing to step up the excitement a notch and actually
do something for a change.
This event is called On The Edge. It's a night of entertainment here at the
high school. There will be movies playing all night long on the big screen,
as well as a massive XBox tournament, a euchre tournament and more. It
is open to students only. The fun starts Friday at 4:30 p.m. and continues
until 10 a.m. Saturday. More information can be found on the posters
placed around the school.
Have no doubts, it is going to be exciting.
The office would like to remind graduated students there are still some diplomas from
commencement to be picked up. Also, if you're going to be away from school for any rea-
son, please send a note to the office or leave a message on the office answering machine
telling them of your absence.
And now, for some upcoming events:
Nov. 30 — Art class field trip to Toronto
Dec. 1— Grade 11 post -secondary education planning day, small gym
Dec. 6 — Student health drop-in clinic
Dec. 7 — Christmas music concert, large gym, 7:30 p.m.
—Senior boys basketball, South Huron @ Mitchell
