Beach 0' Pines warns HuronWoods
GRAND BEND — Residents of
Huron Woods have been warned not
to enter onto certain land owned by
Beach 0' Pines (BOP) without con-
sent.
A letter from Ronald C. Delanghe
of Lerners Barristers and Solicitors
of London dated Oct. 27 was sent to
Huron Woods residents.
The letter states Beach 0' Pines
has advised that certain residents of
Huron Woods and their families and
guests have been trespassing on
lands owned by BOP.
It also advises Huron Woods resi-
dents that entry upon the BOP lands
is limited to rights of way for beach
access.
The letter serves as notice that
entry onto other BOP lands will be
considered trespassing.
BOP will construct a fence and
gates to show the boundary and rec-
ognize the location of the rights of
way between the two subdivisions.
Delanghe and spokespersons from
both Beach 0' Pines and Huron
Woods could not be reached at
press time.

Marching band
in trouble
SEAFORTI I — The Seaforth All -Girls Marching Band
might not make its 50th anniversary in 2007, accord-
ing to the Clinton News -Record. The band went before
Huron East council after learning their grant given by
the Ontario Trillium Foundation is not continuing.
Band organizers asked Huron East council for a
$1,000 grant from council and a mention on the
municipal website.
Band member Penny Breen says the group would
almost sell their souls for the band in attempts to
make up the $33,000, four-year grant from the
Ontario Trillium Association.
Cat crack down
NORTH HURON — A decision by North Huron coun-
cil will help decrease the amount of cats in the town-
ship, according to The Citizen.
Animal control officer Bob Trick serves another
municipality with the program and explained to coun-
cil how it works. Trick picked up 30 cats in the first
year. One-third were claimed. The remainder were
taken to the Humane Society or euthanized at the cost
of the municipality. Trick says cats are only caught
when there is a complaint.
Councillor Murray Nesbitt says Blyth ratepayers
don't think cats are a problem but coun. Arnold
Taylor says something has to be done.
