THIS RECIPE IS FROM MY TEENAGE YEARS AND I TRIED IT FIRST AT A CHURCH POTLUCK AND THEN MADE IT MANY TIMES THEREAFTER! You CAN MAKE THE MEATBALLS AHEAD AND FREEZE THEM. PUT THEM INTO YOUR FAVOURITE SAUCE IN THE SLOW COOKER OR IN THE SAUCE PROVIDED WITH THIS RECIPE. ENJOY! SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS 2 Ib lean hamburger 2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce Sprinkle of onion salt 2 eggs I/4 cup chili sauce 4 slices of bread cubed 1/2 cup milk Mix well and roll into meat balls. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes till nicely browned. Sauce: 2 tbsp cornstarch 1/2 cup vinegar 1/2 tsp ginger 2 tbsp soya sauce 1/2 cup water 1/3 cup brown sugar Boil and let thicken. Pour over meat. Keep warm till served.A great addition to any potluck.
