Tuesday: The fed steers and
heifers sold on a strong market with prices
$1.00 higher. Choice steers and heifers
sold 92.00 to 98.00 sales to 103.75, 2nd cut
steers and heifers sold 88.00 to 91.00. The
cows sold on a steady market.
Thursday: The veal sold on a strong
active trade with prices $2.00 to $.300
higher. The lambs traded on a strong
active trade with prices up $2.00 to $5.00
from last week.
Friday: All weights and classes of stock-
ers sold on a steady market.
Steers
There were 743 steers on offer.
Allen M. Martin, Elmira consigned one
char steer weighing 1325 lbs which sold to
Dominion Meat Packers for 103.00.
Fourteen steers consigned by Joseph M.
Bauman, Newton averaged 1414 lbs which
sold for an average price of 89.70 with his
top limo steer weighing 1275 lbs selling for
102.50.
Robert Ready, St. Mary's consigned
seven steers averaging 1378 lbs which sold
for 99.25. His overall offering of eleven
steers averaged 1387 lbs selling for an
average price of 98.15.
Twenty-three steers consigned by Jim
Howatt, Londesborough averaged 1492 lbs
which sold for an average price of 96.93
with his top gold steer weighing 1415 lbs
selling to Norwich Packers for 100.50.

EXETER -Jane Dearing, president of Huron
South District Women's Institute chaired the fall
board meeting held in the meeting room of the
Municipality of South Huron, Exeter.
Marlene Archer, Area voting delegate, Stratford
gave several up -dates of interest. A number of
Women's Institute books can be ordered from her.
Projects for the benefit of Northern Canadians and
Carribean residents were discussed.
Members present learned that there are 93 new
Women's Institute members in London Area. A
calendar is being drafted using pictures of quilt
blocks that were created for the Quilt Show in
September.
The Tweedsmuir Curator Workshop will be held
August 1, 2006 at Coldstream. A very favourable
report of the 2005 Workshop held in Dashwood
was given.
Hurondale Branch will host the District Picnic on
July 4, 2006. The District Annual will be hosted
by Grand Bend on May 18, 2006. The
Exeter/Zurich Fair display for the Women's
Institute competition will be drawn up by Crediton
members.
President Jane Dearing gave updated informa-
tion concerning the FWIO Conference 2006 to be
held in London August 11 to 13 2006.

DENFIELD - The market at Denfield Livestock
sales traded on a good demand at fully steady prices
on all classes of fed cattle with american type and
weight cattle in good demand. A good offering of
cows traded under pressure at lower prices, stock-
ers traded strong, holstein bull calves steady, sows
and boars steady.
Bob Hodgins, Lucan sold 5 steers average weight
1441 average price 97.94 to a high of 98.75 pur-
chased by Norwich Packers.
Morley Hodgins, Parkhill sold 12 steers average
weight 1423 average price 96.48 to a high of 103.25
