Novice loss EXETER — The Novice Local League #1 team suffered its first loss of the season, as Thedford's playmaking earned them a 4-0 win. But the game wasn't without posi- tive features for South Huron as Paige Lightfoot in net demonstrated excellent sliding action across the front of the net to make some excellent saves; but a high back- hand at the end of the first period put Thedford ahead by one. Lightfoot was helped out by Ryan Neeb, Hayden Bowman, Mitchell Miller and Bradly Regier on defence. On the breakaway several times were South Huron's Kean Dwyer and Nathan McDonald, but it just wasn't meant to be. Strong puck clearing by Jared Denotter and Denver Homuth meant the boards saw a lot of action. Gritty play from Patrick Nedd and excellent line changes from Dillon Haist and Josh Stanlake added to the effort. Brody Reid and Jacob Hrudka also demonstrated good skating throughout the game.
