Peter Conlin had to face a lot of shots in net. Good job Peter. Tyke Red Dec. 16 Tyke Red 5 versus Mount Bridges Gold 3 Goals: Bradley Jones (3), Michael Bristow, Trevor Mellin Assists: Curtis OudeVoshaar, Colin Regier (2), Lucas Bowers, Trevor Mellin, Megan Morrissey, Jakob Partridge, Bradley Jones, Joel Denotter, Michael Bristow Super -sport Award: Jacob Ryan The South Huron Sabres fought hard against Mount Bridges to get their first win of the season. This game was packed with end to end action and was a close race between two excellent teams. Jacob Ryan played a great game in net and came up with super saves when the team needed them the most. The Sabres worked well as a team and the fans were able to see some of the best passes of the sea- son. Congratulations Sabres! Dec. 17 Tyke Red 6 versus BCH 10 Goals: Jakob Partridge (2), Michael Bristow (2), Bradley Jones (2) Assists: Megan Morrissey, Trevor Mellin, Jacob Ryan, Joel Denotter, Curtis OudeVoshaar, Lucas Bowers Super -sport Award: Michael Bristow The South Huron Sabres played a great game against the Bayfield- Clinton - Hensall team. Once again there was great passing and super skat- ing by the whole team. It is great to see the whole team improving and making contribu- tions on the ice. The Sabres had Colin Regier between the posts for this game, making some big saves throughout this game. The spirit an enthusiasm of this South Huron Sabres team is just amazing! What a great team! Novice Local League Red Dec.16 SH Red 3 versus SH Black 2 Goals: Lucas Kaumanns (2), Raymond Delbridge Assists: Raymond Delbridge, Jarrett Baker Coach's Comments: Another great team effort. Strong defence from Connor Drager, Lucas Toornstra and Noah Mitchell. Great two way game by the forwards. Super effort from Raymond Delbridge. Shots 21 to 13 good game Brendan. SH Novice Rep Dec. 10 St. Thomas 10 @ SH 1 Goal: Drew Horner Assists: Jon Baker, Fraser Fulton Comments: Good opening period for the Sabres holding St. Thomas off the score- board. Visitors picked up the pace with strong second and third peri- ods. Drew Horner notched the only Sabres goal of the game with an outstanding deke on the goalie. Hard hat player of the game with a great defensive effort was Evan Hayter. Dec. 12 Mt. Brydges 5 versus SH 2 Goals: Jon Baker, Kyle Jones Assists: Jacob Hrudka, Kyle Jones Comments: Facing the league's best team, the Sabres gave it all they had. Outplayed the host team for two periods but came up short at the end of the game. Very strong effort from everyone skating hard to maintain the fast pace. Excellent work from Bradley Regier who played his best game of the year, giving him the hard hat hon- ours. Dec. 16 St. Marys 2 @ SH 2 Goals: Kyle Jones, Justin McCarter Assists: Evan Hayter, Bradley Regier Comments: A game that saw South Huron outplay the opposition but couldn't get the bounces around the net to get that next goal. Strong game from the wingers playing their positions well. Chad Dawson making history earning the hard hat on consecutive outings. Special thanks to Raymond Delbridge who came out andput a very strong effort forth. Dec. 17 Lambeth 1 versus SH 0 Another game that saw South Huron out- work the opposition. The entire team came to play, working hard at both ends of the ice. But they couldn't find the back of the net. Excellent two-way hockey from Kyle Jones who earned the hard hat. Early in October Lambeth came to town and won 5-1. Great to see a huge improve- ment throughout the whole team! Keep up the hard work.!! Dec. 17 South Huron 2 versus Idlerton Blue 4 Goals: Cameron Quick, Ben Ryan Two quick goals for llderton gave them the lead. A tough game when there are little chances for rebounds. A great effort made with a short handed goal by Ben Ryan.
