(photo/sub- mitted) Jets add muscle LUCAN — Despite slipping back into second place on the weekend, Lucan-Ilderton Jets general manager Rob Andrews is happy with the season the Jets have had so far. "People seem to forget, we're still only a third year team. It's taken teams a heck of a lot longer to get where we are and we're more than pleased with the way things have gone." While the Jets were losing 6- 4 to the Sherwoods the Clinton Radars moved into first with wins over Wingham and Thedford. "We played one good period out of three," said Andrews. "And you have to play three solid periods to win a game...Hensall, they just don't quit." Andrews said teams have been more physical with the Jets in recent games, with Shawn Fairweather taking a knee in the leg against the Sherwoods. "It should have been a match penalty because there was intent to injure," said Andrews. "We have to get somebody in to protect our little guys...they're taking full advantage of roughing up guys like Fairweather." Andrews said the Jets had figured they were happy with their lineup, "but if this is going to happen every night, we have to find that some- body." Andrews said the Jets are looking at adding Alex Butkus who has OHL and university hockey experience and at six foot three, 240 pounds brings a physical dimension to the Jets. "We hope to have him in the lineup Saturday night against Wingham,' said Andrews. "Whether we keep him or not for the rest of the season, we don't know...hopefully he can be a force, he is definitely a big boy." The Jets have only one game this weekend when they host Wingham Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. TIMES - ADVOCATE GIFT SUBSCRIPTION CANADIAN SUBSCRIPTION RATES ne Year - $40.00 + 2.40 GST = $42.40 Two Year - $72.00 + 4.76 GST = 576.32 __ ORDER BY PHONE, FAX OR EMAIL WITH VISA OR MASTERCARD ,!
