IUs estimated that at least 25% of emergency
room visits are due to improper medication use
and some of these visits lead to hospitalization.
Medications in these statistics include legally
prescribed drugs. Be sure you understand fully
the importance of the medications you take and how to take them. It
can save millions to our health care system.
Vitamin D is important in the proper absorption of calcium. If your
calcium tablet doesn't contain vitamin D and you take a multivitamin
daily, you are getting usually 400 units of "D". However, if you are
over 50, you should supplement to 800 units daily.
It was back in 1935 that a researcher first noticed that rats lived
longer if they were fed a calorie -controlled diet. That idea serves
human beings well also. Eat less, eat balanced, living longer. The
rule some people use is to eat half of what they would normally eat.
That will work.
Our pharmacists can help you navigate through the multitude of
cough and cold remedies. There is so much to choose from and
many of the products are quite similar. We can help you choose
what's right for you.
All of our wonderful staff extends the very best to you for a happy
and safe holiday season. May you enjoy the warmth and joy of
family and friends during this blessed holiday season.
