Can you imagine?

GRADE 6 - EXETER PUBLIC SCHOOL
Can you imagine Santa without the Claus or
reindeer with paws?
Can you imagine Santa without his sleigh or
reindeer that neigh?
Can you imagine elves without hats or snow
made of cats?
Can you imagine elves without bells or a Santa
that smells?
Can you imagine toys without noise or no little
girls and boys?
Can you imagine reindeer that don't fly or
Santa in a tie?
Can you imagine a reindeer that sneezes or a
Christmas without Jesus?
How to make a snow
angel
Nicholas Cripps,
GRADE 2- HURON CENTENNIAL
I am making a snow angel. First you make an
enormous snow ball. Then you make a medi-
um snow ball.
Now you make a little snow ball. Then you
make wings. Now you get a doughnut to make
the halo. Finally you have a snow angel.
SH seeks
input from
volunteers

SOUTH HURON — Council dis-
cussed the personnel of its various
committees Monday night, with the
goal of more input from the public
and improved promotion of the
municipality.
Mayor Ken Oke said he wanted to
see a volunteer committee formed
to deal with `Special Events.' The
committee would come up with
ideas for events to stimulate inter-
est in the area. After a suggestion
from Coun. Pete Armstrong, it was
decided that responsibility would
fall under the scope of the newly -
named South Huron Economic
Development and Promotions
Committee.
Armstrong said the municipality
is "totally lacking" in promotion.
"It's like we're an invisible town,"
he said, noting that at a recent eco-
nomic development meeting he
attended, Exeter wasn't even
included on maps.
Oke said he wants to see the com-
munity working together.
"We have to get people to volun-
teer and create community spirit."
A "Seniors' Housing" committee
was also formed. The municipality
is looking for volunteers to join.
Oke noted there is a shortage of
affordable and seniors' housing in
South Huron and said the worst
thing a municipality can have is
seniors moving away to live else-
where.
"I believe that this committee is
very important," he said.
Other council notes:
Grant application
South Huron is applying to the
province's $75 million Rural
Infrastructure Investment Initiative
program for further funding for the
Exeter/Lake Huron pipeline project.
South Huron's portion of the pro-
ject has been estimated at $13.1
million, and the municipality is
already assured of a $4 3 million
