Queensway jazzes up its Christmas party
HENSALL - "Change For A
Quarter" provided the music for
Queensway's annual Resident &
Family Christmas Party Sun., Dec.
10. An excellent number of family
& friends joined residents for the
afternoon of music, refreshments
and visiting. "Change for a
Quarter" made up of Dwayne
Martin, Richard Gingerich, Kevin
Steckle & Harold Matzek played a
wonderful selection of music in
their own unique Jazz style.
Several Queensway women gath-
ered in the Sunroom Monday after-
noon for manicures in preparation
for the upcoming special Christmas
events. Everyone was also com-
menting on the beautiful Christmas
trees throughout our building deco-
rated by our own very talented staff
member, Bev Hedden. Now that
the decorating is completed we're
feeling more in the Christmas spirit.
Queensway Volunteer Auxiliary
members met Tuesday morning to
organize assistance for the many
upcoming Christmas events.
Among them are the Christian
Reform Choir Dec. 12, Lakeview
Gospel Singers Dec. 19, Carol

Residents gathered for Euchre
Wednesday afternoon, playing sev-
eral competitive games while oth-
ers worked on seasonal "Word
Finds" which many enjoy, especial-
ly after they've been enlarged on
the photocopier making them easi-
er for those with sight impairment.
Coffee & News drew a good crowd
interested in perusing the local
weekly papers and London free
Press over piping hot coffee. A
favourite is always the section on
the early files where residents have
on occasion read about their own
exploits. Following coffee & news
Joan Bradley, Food Service
Supervisor chaired the Food
Committee Meeting, seeking input
& opinions on the Food Service.
Food Committee Meeting is held
monthly and family members are
welcome to attend with their loved
one, just call for date and time.
