Tyke Red
Dec. 6
Tyke Red 3 versus South
Huron Black 5
Goals: Trevor Mellin (2),
Bradley Jones
Assists: Lucas Bowers, Jakob
Partridge, Bradley Jones, Joel
Denotter, Megan Morrissey,
Curtis OudeVoshaar,
Super -sport Award: Jakob
Partridge
The two South Huron teams
faced off against each other on
Wednesday night, giving the
fans a nail biter of a game until
the last minutes of play. The
Red team fought hard against
the red team with 100 per cent
effort from each player.
Michael Bristow was spectacu-
lar in net coming up with many
big saves. If the red team had
a few more lucky bounces of
the puck, score could have
been 5-3 in our favor. Great
job team!
Dec. 9
Tyke Red 6 goals versus
Lucan White 10
Goals: Bradley Jones (6) -
Double Hat trick!
Assists: Joel Denotter (2),
Colin Regier, Jacob Ryan,
Megan Morrissey, Lucas
Bowers, Trevor Mellin, Michael
Bristow, Jakob Partridge
Super -sport Award: Curtis
OudeVoshaar
The Lucan team started the
game very strong, scoring six of
their goals in the first period of
the game. The South Huron
Sabres, never gave up and
managed to finally get the puck
past the strong Lucan Goalie in
the middle of the second peri-
od. This goal re -energized the
Sabres team allowing them to
close the scoring gap. Great
passes and fast skating from
the entire team is what made
this game nice to watch. Fine
skating and stick -work by
Bradley gave him a double hat -
trick for this game. Lucan
Bowers made many superb
saves and was like a cat,
pouncing on any puck that
came near the crease. This
Sabres team is improving every
game.
Dec. 10
Tyke Red versus East
Lambton 8
Super -sport Award: Megan
Morrissey
The South Huron Tyke Red
team faced a tough team in
Alvinston on Sunday afternoon.
Despite solid efforts from the
entire team, the Sabres could
not get the puck past the East
Lambton Goalie. Curtis
OudeVoshaar played excellent
in net for South Huron, and
was stopping a lot of strong
shots. The Sabers played their
best game of the year so far,
but unfortunately the score did
not reflect it. Excellent work
team!
