The Times Advocate, 2006-11-29, Page 1616 TIMES -ADVOCATE Wednesday, November 29, 2006 Exeter's annual parade welcomed by community Main attraction — Exeter held its annual Santa Claus Parade last Saturday with the highlight being Jolly St. Nick, above, waving at the crowd of people lined up along Main Street. Many schools, churches, organizations and businesses participated in the annual event. Parade float winners were: Exeter Public School, best school float;The Salvation Army, best religion theme; Country Corners Rent -All, best commercial theme; Exeter Cub Scouts, best dub float; Exeter Pentecostal Church, best overall float; and winning a miscellaneous category was a horse dressed as a reindeer in training. Each winner was awarded $100 for winning first place. Exeter Rodeo — The Exeter Rodeo committee was one of the floats in the parade.Above, Exeter Rodeo committee member Jo Anne Fields waves for the camera. School spirit — Usborne Central School was one of several schools to participate in the parade. Below left is the Exeter Lioness float:Tyler Hardie, Natasha Turner, Brooke Moffatt, Peter Kenney, Kevin Campbell,Tina Kenney, Jennifer Moffatt,Alecia Kyle, Denise Devries, Sarah Hope, Liz Stephens, Brian Hope and Jeremy LeClair.
