cooking with memories BY DEBBY WAGLER APRICOT AND CURRY SPREAD LOVE CURRY, LOVE CHEESE SPREADS AND 1 LOVE APRICOT JAM! SO THIS RECIPE IS A GREAT COMBINATION FOR MY TASTE BUDS. THIS WAS ONE OF THOSE APPETIZERS YOU PUT OUT AND YOU CAN'T WALK AWAY YOURSELF FROM YOUR OWN ENTERTAINING TABLE. 1 AM LEARNING TO COUNT OUT MY CRACKER LIMIT AHEAD OF TIME AND THEN DO THEM UP WITH SPREAD AND THEN LEAVE THE FOOD AREA. OTHERWISE THE BOWL OF SPREAD AND 1 SEE WAY TOO MUCH OF EACH OTHER! PUT THIS OUT WITH CHEESE BALLS AND LET YOUR GUESTS EXPERIMENT! 1-250 g pkg Tight cream cheese softened 1/4 cup apricot jam 1/2 cup toasted chopped almonds (1 used more than the original recipe called for because 1 like the nutty taste!) 1/2 tsp curry powder 1/4 tsp dry mustard Mash the cream cheese and jam together. Mix in nuts and seasonings. Put into a small bowl that will fit nicely with a cracker tray. Serve with a small spreader and your favorite crackers. 1 found that the recipe tasted even better after it sat for a day or two.
