Capsule Comments
by Ernie Miatello
Here's another advantage for those who
exercise regularly. If you are physically active, you
will be less likely to develop depression. If you are
already depressed, then physical exercise can
help. So if you don't already exercise regularly, try
it! Regularly means at least 30 minutes three times per week.
Children with diarrhea and vomiting are often given products like
Pedialyte solution to help avoid dehydration and improving bowel
symptoms. This works very well. But you don't have Pedialyte in the
house, Gatoradethe sports drink, also can be useful. Its contents
can help replace important electrolytes that are lost in vomiting and
diarrhea.
When reviewing your medication with your doctor, be sure to
mention all medications taken, even those that are non-prescription
medications. For example, some people take Gravol for sleep. This
drug has many side effects some of which can mimic dementia
symptoms. So be sure to make your doctor aware of ALL the
medications you take. This includes herbal products as well.
How time flies! Valium, the second anti anxiety drug of the
benzodiazepine class, was released in 1963. Its use mushroomed
in the sixties but is seldom prescribed today. There are many
children and grandchildren of this drug on the market that are more
commonly prescribed.
