ZURICH – Zurich weekly
dining program has enjoyed
fresh flowers from Glena;
Mary and Marj local gar-
deners and now we have
the silk flowers for the win-
ter months. Each week we
do a fifty/fifty draw: the
winners were Theresa
Regier, Marie Gelinas,
Gwen McKellar, Abbie Erb
and Yogi.
We sang Happy Birthday
to Gwen McKellar; Earl
Flaxbard; Cecelia Farwell.
Diners enjoyed a variety of
entertainment Progressive
Euchre, Bingo, Music by
Mary F. Dow and Murray
Christie and the Scotts.

IIENSALL –At Carmel
Presbyterian Church
Tracy Whitson-Bahro was
the minister with Joyce
Pepper playing the organ.
The offering was received
by Robert Bell and Frank
Varley. Communion ser-
vice will be held on Dec.
10 with Rev Huberts.
White Gift Sunday will
also be on
Dec. 10.
The service
closed with Benediction
and choral amen.
The service at Hensall
United Church began with
welcome, announce-
ments, and the passing of
the peace. The Christ
Candle was lit followed by
the prayer of approach.
Readings from
Corinthians and
Ephesians were given and
favourite hymns sung.
The guest speaker was
Peter Challen, his mes-
sage was "Journal Entry,
Mysterious Intrusion".
The children listened to a
special story, and the
Lord's Prayer was recited
in unison. The offering
HENSAL
was received and dedicat-
ed. The service closed
with commissioning and
benediction. Bill Gibson
was the organist with
Lillian Beer greeting
everyone. Mary Lou Hyde
and Lucielle Beer were
the ushers. Julie Towton
looked after the nursery.
Friendship Circle and
Friends will hold a Craft
and Bake Sale on Sat.,
Dec. 9 at 11 a.m.
Everyone is
welcome and
the proceeds
will go to benefit Habitat
for Humanity. The Drop -
In will be held on Dec. 14.
The Friendship Circle
meets at Northcrest at
1:30 p.m. on Tues., Dec.
5. The good food pick-up
will be on Dec. 14.
The Hensall and
Community Horticultural
Society enjoyed their
annual pot -luck dinner on
Nov. 26. Brenda
Campbell was the guest
speaker and demonstrat-
ed how to create an out-
door arrangement which
she donated to the
Society.
