6-4 win for Sherwoods
HENSALL — The Hensall Sherwoods
were in Milverton Nov. 18 and came
away with a 6-4 win to improve their
record to 5-3-1 for 11 points.
The win keeps the Sherwoods close in
the hunt for first in the Southern confer-
ence.
Lucan has taken over first with 15
points with Clinton in second at 14.
Tavistock holds down third just ahead of
I-Iensall with 11 points.
In first overall is Lucknow with 17
points.
The Sherwoods took a 3-1 lead in the
first with two power play goals from
Chris Downie after Chad Deman put
Hensall on the board.
The 4 -Wheel Drives replied with two
power play goals of their own in the sec-
ond period but Jarrott Jeffrey's power
play goal left the Sherwoods with a 4-3
lead after two periods.
JR Davies added another in the third
and Downie completed his hat trick into
an empty net to seal the 6-4 win.
The Sherwoods have one game this
weekend, Saturday afternoon at 4:30
p.m. against Clinton in Hensall.
The Sherwoods have rescheduled their
fundraiser dinner and dance, which was
to have been this weekend, until Dec. 16
when they face Lucan in a game which
will be held in Exeter at 5 p.m.
A dinner and dance will follow after the
game. Tickets are $20 and include
admission to the game, dinner, dance
and cash door prizes throughout the
night and it will be South Huron Minor
Hockey Day.
The Sherwoods game this weekend will
still be BCH Minor Hockey Day.
Fast start for South
