"In exchange, the board will be recognized as a sup- porting partner, and your name will be out there for people to see during the festival," Thompson told Huron - Perth trustees during their regular meeting, Monday. Thompson grew up in Stratford, and credited his involvement in small-time media while still a high school student for pointing his career in a direction which eventually took him to national prominence. He pro- duced documentaries for the CBC and Global television, and became one of the driving forces behind the inter- nationally -acclaimed Banff Television Festival. In recent years, he returned to Stratford, producing the "Manic Organic" cable television show for two years before returning to the production of documentaries. From the school boards, Thompson and Gordon requested letters of support to be included with funding applications.
